Hey there Solmates,

Solmates Australia was originally born from a simple desire for sustainable sun protection. We hated how many plastic sunscreen bottles we and our families were using. Containers of various sizes lying around in bags, bathrooms and cars. We tried minimising our footprint by buying sunscreen in bulk. But it left us lugging big bottles of sunscreen around.

There had to be a better way. So together we decided to create our very own Solmate. A convenient, cute, refillable sunscreen applicator that is sustainably made and beautifully designed. From a few drawings sketched out at the kitchen table, two years on and countless design refinements later our little Solmate was born.

And now we see our Solmates used and loved by so many people in Australia and beyond. And not just the sunny spots! Our applicator have been adopted for use with other moisturisers, lotions and creams - offering convenience and protection on all your adventures. We love to see it, because we truly believe that individuals taking small sustainable steps can make a real difference.
