Our mission is to make the sustainable choice the easy choice — because caring for yourself shouldn't come at the earth's expense.

Solmates was born from a quiet frustration — tired of single-use plastic piling up, tired of products that felt like compromises. We wanted something that fit into real life: beach bags, school runs, road trips, long weekends — without the guilt or the mess.

We are drawn to things that are simple, considered, and honest. When you find something that works the way it promises, that feels good to hold, that you actually reach for every day — that's not just a product. That's a small, steady act of doing things better.

Fill it with what you already love, take it wherever life takes you. Nothing leaks, nothing runs out at the wrong moment and you're not burning through plastic to get there. Just less to think about, and a little less waste in the world.

That felt worth making.

How Solmates Make Your Life Better

Single-use, poorly designed packaging makes everyday essentials wasteful, costly, and impractical for active Aussie lifestyles - turning good intentions into habits that are hard to maintain.

And life is already full. Bags to pack, kids to wrangle, places to be. We want to make better choices for the planet, but too often sustainable options add friction instead of removing it,  making everyday life feel more complicated than it needs to be.

Solmates fixes that. Refillable, durable, and portable - fill them with what you already love, and take them wherever life goes. Less waste, less hassle, and one less thing to think about.

Good Things Take Time

Our first product took three years, numerous prototypes and a lot of false starts to get right. When it finally launched, it was showcased at the Powerhouse Museum and won a Good Design Award. We think that's what happens when you refuse to rush. Since then we've added the 100ml applicator and the 25ml pot — each one on its own timeline, done when it was ready.

And we're just getting started.

People We Trust, Work We're Proud Of

We want to build something we can genuinely be proud of, and that means being deliberate about who we work with at every step.

It would be easy to outsource the unglamorous parts, but we keep fulfilment in-house because we want to know exactly what's going into the hands of our customers.

Our supplier relationships are small by design - a handful of people we've worked with since the beginning, built on trust earned over time. We don't chase cheaper options or jump ship for a better deal.

Proudly made in Sydney, Australia

Made in Australia so we can stay close to the process, back local, create products we truly stand behind, and reduce our environmental footprint. Because how something is made matters.

"Good for the planet and your skin! A sustainable staple for your everyday carry, it is beautifully designed with thorough attention to details and impact."
