Your Solmates should be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis. Solmates are designed for the immediate transport and application of substances within a short period of time, not for long-term storage.

Each Solmates fights plastic waste - by reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles, made with recycled plastic to reuse existing plastic waste and profits help fund ocean plastic waste clean up. We also reuse production offcuts and imperfect items and have a consumer takeback program to recycle old Solmates.
All our packaging is made from 100% recycled materials, printed with plant based inks and is 100% recyclable. Plus our stickers, tape and labels are compostable.
No. Your Solmates applicator is empty so you can fill it with your preferred sunscreen or lotion from a larger bottle.
Yes, it works well with many mineral (zinc‑based) creams and lotions. Very thick formulas may need extra shaking, warming in your hands, or adding a small amount of compatible lotion to loosen the texture. You can see more information on what works well in your Solmates here.
We don’t recommend it. Very thin or spray sunscreens can leak because the seals and ball gap are designed for thicker creams. You can see a list of tested sunscreens here.
Yes, children can roll on their own sunscreen and will love it! Always follow your sunscreen’s instructions for use and re‑application.
